NouerA emerged from the survival show MAKEMATE1, bringing together finalists Hyunjun, Gihyeon, Junpyo, Yuseop, Lin, Fan, and Miraku. The multinational seven-member group released music ahead of debut in late 2024 before officially beginning its career on February 26, 2025 with Chapter: New is Now. The name combines the French “nouer,” meaning to tie or connect, with “era.” Together, NouerA represents connecting different eras through music. Their associated phrase, “No boundaries, Act bold,” pushes the same idea further: moving between places, cultures and generations without treating those borders as fixed limits.
