NEWBEAT spent its early days under the pre-debut names HinLOVE and HIGH&LOW before settling into the identity audiences know today. The seven-member BEAT Interactive group released “JeLLo” ahead of debut and officially launched on March 24, 2025 with the full-length album RAW AND RAD — an unusually substantial first release for a rookie group.
The members are Park Minseok, Hong Minsung, Jeon Yeoyeojeong, Choi Seohyun, Kim Taeyang, Jo Yunhu, and Kim Riwoo. No official explanation for the name NEWBEAT is currently listed by KProfiles, so its literal sound is better left to speak for itself rather than giving it an unofficial meaning.
